Design in Details
This kitchen project for Mr and Mrs Greenfield focused on creating a simple, well-balanced space that feels bright, practical, and easy to live in. The design centres around JJO Kinder Grey Mist doors in a classic five-piece shaker style, offering a soft grey tone with a subtle woodgrain finish. This keeps the look traditional without feeling dated, and works well with the natural light coming through the windows.
The 20mm Nile Calacatta quartz worktop adds a clean, low-maintenance surface that complements the cabinetry without dominating the space. Neff appliances were chosen for reliability and performance, while keeping everything integrated and uncluttered. Underfoot, Moduleo LVT Galtymore Oak flooring brings warmth and contrast to the lighter units, helping to ground the overall design.
- Open Living Spaces: Creating open-plan living areas to enhance the flow and connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Natural Materials: Using reclaimed wood, stone, and natural fibers to evoke a sense of harmony with the surrounding environment.
- Large Windows: Installing floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize natural light and provide unobstructed ocean views.
- Outdoor Living: Designing extensive outdoor areas, including a deck, pool, and garden, for relaxation and entertaining.
- Modern Amenities: Incorporating state-of-the-art kitchen appliances, smart home technology, and luxurious bathroom fixtures.
Incredible Result
The end result is a straightforward, well-finished kitchen that prioritises usability while still looking smart and modern. A great example of how a shaker kitchen can be updated with the right materials and layout.
