Design in Details
This kitchen project for Mr and Mrs Andrews in Horbury, Wakefield focused on creating a clean, modern space that feels calm, practical, and easy to use day to day. The design centres around Metro Sage Green smooth matt doors, giving a soft, understated colour that adds interest without overpowering the room. The brushed handle style keeps everything looking simple and uncluttered, while the overall layout makes good use of the available space, with a central peninsula adding both workspace and seating. The 20mm Fugen Calacatta Quartz worktop provides a durable, low-maintenance surface that works well with the muted cabinetry. Its subtle veining adds just enough detail without taking over the design. Neff appliances with graphite trim were chosen to keep everything consistent and integrated, helping maintain a streamlined look across the kitchen.
Underfoot, Moduleo LVT Herringbone Laurel Oak flooring brings warmth and texture, balancing the cooler tones of the units and worktops. Finishing touches like the pendant lighting and glazed cabinets add a bit of depth without overcomplicating the space.

Incredible Result
The end result is a straightforward, well-finished kitchen that prioritises usability while still looking smart and modern. It shows how a simple, matt/brushed design can be made more inviting through the right choice of colour, materials, and lighting, without adding unnecessary complexity. A good example of a modern kitchen that works just as well for everyday routines as it does for entertaining, while keeping a consistent and easy-to-live-with look throughout.
